Low-Maintenance: CFLs last up to 10 times longer than incandescents (about 4 to 5 years compared to less than 6 months on average for incandescent bulbs), which means less bulb-changing for you.
Light on Energy Use: CFLs use about one-fourth the energy of incandescents to produce the same brightness.
A Brilliant Investment: CFLs cost as little as one dollar per bulb, compared to about $0.50 for an equivalent incandescent. But prices are starting to drop considerably! And because you buy them less often and save so much electricity, CFLs end up costing much less than incandescents over their lifetime.
